My Craft Area

My craft room is in our basement. We don't have a finished basement - yet, but hopefully someday we will. The desk came from my DH's business. It has been a real mess and it took me a week to get it cleaned up enough to share. However, I won't talk about what might be crammed behind the doors!

The tall cabinet to the right holds all my stamps and right now it is a real mess in there. We have a walk out basement so I have a nice view of the yard through the window.

Recent scrapbook pages.

My scanner cut off about 1/4 inch of the bottom of the pages. I would love to have a scanner large enough to scan an entire 12x12 page in piece.

New Things

This has been my week for new things. I had to return my Hoover Windtunnel to Sam's Club (good thing I bought the extended warrenty!) The Windtunnel was probably the worst Vacuum I have ever owned. I took the advise of my mother and some friends and bought a Sears Kenmore Canister vacuum. I got the Blue Sky color. I have to say, I love it!

I also got a new car last Friday. My Windstar was on its last legs. It had so many mechanical problems and I was tired for putting money into it. So, here is my Toyota Sienna! I was meant to drive this car!

I also lost the diamond out of my wedding ring last week and I could not find it anywhere. So I will be also be getting a new ring this week. I found an 3 diamond anniversary ring that I like. Whooo, lets spend some more money.

Raspberry Jelly

I made Red Raspberry Jelly on Friday. I had to stop right before putting the juice on the stove to boil because the car dealership called and said that someone was looking at the car I wanted to buy. I pretty much figured that was a lie, but I decided that "someone" probably was going to be looking at it because it was a nice car. So, I dropped everything and went to the dealership and got the process started. Glad I did, because if I would have waited until evening we would have been there until 10 p.m.! They were SO slow. Anyway, after I bought the car ( a white Toyota Sienna) I came home and made jelly. It is so yummy and while I know home made jelly is not any cheaper than store bought, (actually it probably costs more) there is nothing that beats the home made stuff as far as my tastebuds are concerned. I like currant jelly and strawberry jelly but Red Raspberry jelly beats them all hands down!

A Week at my Parents

I waited a long time for this Humming bird. He finally came for a snack and brought a girl friend (she was in the bushes)

Nick and Gracie in Grandma's garden.

It stormed a few nights while we were there, we sat on the front porch and watched.
